About CXRE Labs
CXRE (/kor/) is a creative and experimentation lab working at the intersection of art, design, technology, and culture. We build brand systems, digital experiences, physical objects, and experimental projects alongside independent creatives across disciplines. CXRE Residency is our first major public residency program, launching in Downtown Halifax in the summer of 2026.
About the Role
The Studio and Events Assistant keeps the physical space functioning and makes every event feel intentional. You set up the space before people arrive, keep it running while they are there, and leave it ready for the next day.
You work across two modes: studio mode, where you maintain the day-to-day operations of the workspace and gallery, and event mode, where you shift into setup, front-of-house, and support. As the program moves into installation week and the final exhibition in December, this role becomes one of the most important in the building.
This is a hands-on, in-person role. It is right for someone who is organized, physically capable, good with people, and genuinely interested in being part of a creative program from the inside.
