About the Role

We’re looking for a Research, Experimentation & Social Media Intern to support CXRE Labs’ ongoing research and R&D initiatives and help communicate that work through social media.

This role is ideal for someone who is curious, organized, and excited by exploration. You’ll support research across design, materials, fabrication, and AI experimentation, while also helping translate that work into thoughtful social content.

Research & Experimentation Intern (Design, Materials & AI)

What You Will Work On

  • Research materials and fabrication methods

  • Identify suppliers, manufacturers, and fabricators

  • Compare pricing, lead times, and production constraints

  • Organize findings into clear summaries or spreadsheets

  • Support sourcing for prototypes and production

  • Helping manage CXRE Labs’ social media presence

  • Translating research and experiments into clear, engaging posts

  • Supporting content planning, captions, and storytelling

  • Assisting with documenting behind-the-scenes process and R&D

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong research and organizational skills

  • Interest in design, materials, AI, or emerging technology

  • Comfort writing short-form content (captions, summaries, notes)

  • Ability to document work clearly (docs, slides, spreadsheets)

  • Familiarity with social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn)

  • Clear communication and reliability

You do not need to be an expert in all areas curiosity and willingness to learn matter most.

  • Mentorship and hands-on exposure to creative R&D and strategy

Contractor Network

This role also serves as a pathway into CXRE Labs’ broader contractor and collaborator network. Strong interns may be considered for future paid, project-based roles in research, strategy, or creative support.
